Claim, Reasons, Assumptions

Main Claim:
Music groups help students in other subjects and help them become more well rounded.

Reasons:
Helps with memory
Gives leadership opportunities
Makes them feel part of something
Helps them learn

Assumptions:
People want to be smarter and have better memories.
Leadership opportunities are helpful

  2. Katelynn, I have seen the statistics for students who are involved with music and those who are not, and the contrast is staggering. From personal experience, I can say that being engaged with a music group, choir, band, etc. increases one’s intellectual ability and focus. I look forward to reading your editorial.
